Programmes Tamil Nadu State Open University Duration: One year Content: 3 Theory Courses and Research Dissertation + Viva Voce Eligibility: A relevant Master’s Degree from any recognized University Course 1 Research Methodology Course 2 (Subject Specialisation Paper) Course 3 (Subject Specialisation Paper) Dissertation & Viva Voce Evaluation: There shall be an Internal Assessment through Spot Assignments/Open Book Test and Term End Examination respectively 25% and 75% weight for the three theory courses. In the case of dissertation, there shall be double valuation, i.e., Internal Evaluation carrying 25 marks and External Evaluation carrying 75 marks. This will be followed by a Viva Voce Examination for a maximum of 100 marks to be conducted by an Examiner appointed by the University Dissertation Submission: Dissertation should be in English The number of pages of the dissertation may be around 100 to 150. Two copies of the Dissertation shall be submitted to the University for evaluation.
